He was born in Denizli in 1966. He completed his primary, middle, and high school education in Denizli. Between 1983 and 1990, he studied at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine and graduated as a medical doctor. Between 1990 and 1992, he completed his compulsory service as a physician at Tunceli Central Health Center. Later, by his own request, he was appointed to Balıkesir Edremit Altınoluk Health Center and worked as a general practitioner until September 1997. In the meantime, he completed his military service as a reserve officer at the Edremit 100-Bed Military Hospital from June 1995 to September 1996. In 1997, he started his residency training in the Department of Neurosurgery at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, and he completed his specialization education in 2003 with his thesis titled "Evaluation of the Relationship Between Intracranial Pressure and the Hypothalamic-Hypophyseal-Gonadal Axis in Severe Head Trauma Cases," obtaining the title of specialist in brain and nerve surgery.
